Privacy, GDPR & Cookies
Here you can read about what personal data is and how we process your personal data, as well as the rights you have.
What is personal data?
Personal data is any information that can be linked to a living individual. Examples of personal data include name, address, and personal identity number.
How do we use your personal data?
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we would like to inform you that personal data submitted through our website forms will be processed by us. We store and process personal data such as name, email address, and phone number. The purpose of this processing is to enable us to contact you and respond to your message.
The legal basis for processing your personal data is the consent you provided before submitting the web form. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the consent was withdrawn.
You have the right to contact us if you would like information about the data we hold about you, request correction, transfer, restriction of processing, object to processing, or request deletion of your data. The easiest way to do this is by contacting us via email at info@trossohostel.se.
More information about GDPR can be found through the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. The information generated by cookies regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) may be transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
You can prevent Google from collecting and using data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plugin; please refer to your browser’s documentation for the best option. You can also refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. Please note that if you disable cookies, some parts and functions of the website may not work properly.

Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA to improve the security of our website and, in particular, to protect it against automated crawling and spam.
Google reCAPTCHA evaluates whether the data entered on the website, for example in a contact form, has been entered by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, Google reCAPTCHA automatically analyzes a large amount of information, such as IP address, time spent on the website, and mouse movements. This is done to ensure that the visitor is a real person and not a bot.
Further information about Google reCAPTCHA can be found on Google’s website.

A cookie is a small text file that, with your consent, is placed on your computer when you visit a website. Depending on the type of cookie, it may provide you as a visitor with access to different website functions or track which pages you visit.
There are two types of cookies:
- Cookies stored for a longer (limited) period of time, and

For more information about cookies and how to disable them, please visit the website of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority.
